BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
The police department will "Go Pink" on October 1st to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The officers were issued specially designed pink t-shirts that say "Ellisville Police Supports Breast Cancer Awareness" to wear under their official uniform (instead of the usual black t-shirts) during the month of October. The department will be raising awareness and showing support to those affected by breast cancer while performing their normal patrol duties and functions. The t-shirts were donated by Casual Tees.
"Ellisville Wins Award"
At the Fourth Annual “Muni” Awards Show honoring Municipalities across the County for their initiatives and collaborative efforts held on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, the City of Ellisville won an award for the Manchester Road / Missouri Route 100 Great Streets Initiative. The award was for Citizen Engagement, Public Safety, Sustainability and Preservation. The cities of Ballwin, Ellisville and Wildwood; West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri American Water Company, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, Manchester Road Executive Committee, Metro St. Louis, East-West Gateway Council of Governments and the residents of these municipalities are all responsible for the award.
