Foundation Information
The BackStoppers is an organization that was forged from tragedy to assist the families of fallen first responders in the St. Louis region.  For decades, The BackStoppers have devoted their limited resources to helping those we call on to help us in times of need.  Started in 1959, the BackStoppers provide needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs in our coverage area who have lost their lives or suffered a catastrophic injury performing their duty.
