The EDGE Aquatic Center
EDGE Operational Changes due to COVID-19
As you can imagine, our operations will look different than normal this year. We will be instituting the following operational changes to comply with current St. Louis County guidelines for Public Water Recreation Facilities (PWRF):
Attendance will be restricted to 400 guests which is 50% of our bather load.
Guests may consider not arriving at opening to avoid long lines and close proximity with other guests.
We recommend paying with credit card whenever possible, but cash will be accepted.
A fabric face cover must be worn by employees and bathers when in common areas i.e. restrooms, concession lines, entering and exiting the facility. Masks are not required when seated in lounge chairs with other members of your household or when in the water. Lifeguards will not be wearing masks while on the lifeguard stands.
We will screen all patrons who enter the facility. If you or anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms, has been exposed, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we urge you to please stay home. Our staff will send guests home who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
We will have lounge furniture available. But you may bring your own as long as it is not larger than a standard lounge chair.
Concessions will be open and operate per St. Louis County Food Code and the County’s previously-issued Restaurant Opening Protocols.
Lastly, your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Staff will increase cleaning efforts throughout the day. We will prioritize disinfecting and sanitizing all high-touch surfaces and equipment.
Any further changes or announcements regarding the EDGE will be shared here on our website. We encourage you to check back throughout the season.
The screening process is as follows:
Ask each individual if they have experienced any of the following new or worsening symptoms within the past 24 hours:
- Fever (temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
- Sore throat, different than your seasonal allergies
- Loss of smell and/or taste
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Abdominal pain
Ask if they have a close contact who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks.
