Riding a bike can be a ton of fun, plus there are multiple health benefits. Cycling can reduce stress and anxiety levels, provide a low impact cardio workout (easy on your joints), and it increases muscle strength and flexibility. Riding a bike is also a great way to enjoy the outdoors and explore your community. The city of Ellisville is now providing its residents with a free Bike Share Program. Memberships are available in the Park Administration Building Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memberships are FREE for Ellisville Residents and $10 per individual or $20 per family for non-residents. Each family will receive their own personalized PIN number which will unlock the bike whenever you are ready to ride. A signature will be required agreeing to the rules and regulations of the BikeShare program. Must be 12+ years old to ride without an adult or guardian.
How It Works
Our bicycles are locked to the bike racks using a frame-integrated U-Lock. The keys for the bikes are secured in electronic key boxes mounted to the bike racks (one key box for each bike). Members use PIN codes to access the bike keys inside the key boxes. Members will be assigned their own unique PIN code. The system tracks use for easy reporting on system activity.
