Ellisville Sculpture on the Move

The City of Ellisville is soliciting Ellisville Residents that would like to participate in an organization that promotes public art, theater, and history in the City of Ellisville. Some ideas include art and photography exhibits, community painting events, theater, and expanding art in Ellisville parks.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our citizens and visitors by integrating both our history and works of art into public spaces across Ellisville for all to learn, admire, and enjoy.

We will do this by:

  • Conducting art exhibits and programs for all ages.
  • Commissioning works of art to be enjoyed by all in our public spaces.
  • Displaying historical artifacts, stories and photographs about Ellisville and the surrounding area.

The City of Ellisville is part of the Creative Communities Alliance (CCA) which is a coalition of municipal and nonprofit organizations dedicated to the development of community arts in the St. Louis region. One of the CCA programs is Sculpture on the Move.

The sculpture pictured below is located in front of the Park Administration Building in Bluebird Park. It is titled Metamorphosis and is by artist: Hilde De Bruyne
