MSD Stormwater Public Hearings

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) has proposed a Stormwater Capital Rate to fund work to address localized flooding and erosion and issues. MSD has identified approximately 500 stormwater issues throughout its service area.

As flooding and erosion are directly impacted by the volume of stormwater runoff created by impervious surfaces which cannot absorb water, each customer would pay based upon the amount of impervious areas on their property. The average homeowner would pay $27 each year or $2.25 a month with the Stormwater Capital Rate.

Rate Commission public hearings will be held in May and June, Let your voice be heard! Join the discussion and provide feedback on the proposed Stormwater Capital Rate at one of the public hearings. If you can't make a public hearing, join via social media in the streaming meeting on May 30. Find out more Public Hearing Dates
